Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted lives world over and it has impacted rural Indonesian economy and livelihoods in an unprecedented manner.

With multiple variants of the virus still rampant, the local markets and the economy remain at a stand-still. Tourism hasn’t restarted and we are unsure when we will be able to see recovery.

Therefore, we are committed to continue our “Weaving In The Time Of Corona” campaign which we started in April 2020 and will do our best to support our weaving communities in Adonara, Lembata, Mamasa, and Toraja with special signature piece orders.

These signature pieces are not usually sold in markets and through this endeavour we are hoping to reach out to conscious consumers all across, create awareness about rural communities, and we are confident they will to support our women weavers to survive this time of crisis by having a source of livelihood.

Together we can overcome this difficult time and at the same time make a positive impact on the lives of weavers while preserving our national heritage.
